This Sunday, January 29th, 2012, Shew-sical Entertainment Services will be participating in one of Frederick, MD's longest running bridal shows. It will take place at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center, next to the Francis Scott Key Mall, from 12 noon-4 pm. We have only a few FREE tickets left, if you would like to attend. Bridal Show Mayhem Continues

Shew-sical Entertainment Services is proud to be in attendance at the Liberty Mountain Annual Bridal Faire on January 22, 2012 1pm-3:30pm in the Jacqueline Ballroom at Liberty Mountain Resort. There will be lots of great vendor present, and we are privileged to be among them. Come on in and register at our table for the chance at $100 off of any NEW contract. Shew-sical Entertainment Services is proud to be a part of the 2012 Herald-Mail Bridal and Prom Expo. It is this Sunday, January 15th, at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown, MD. We will be there from open until close, so there is plenty of opportunity for you to come out and see us. Look for us next to the FABNet (Frederick Area Bridal Network) table near the center of the Mall. It's wedding booking season!

For those of you who have been following Shew-sical on Facebook, Twitter, or elsewhere, we would like to say, "Thanks!" We are currently running 2 contests on Facebook, and would like to make you aware of them. The 1st has been running for several months now, and will continue through the end of September. It is our "Lyric Challenge", where you have a chance to win based on your knowledge of song lyrics. Our 2nd started today, and is basically a contest to find a picture/photograph that will encourage people to book Shew-sical Entertainment for their next event. This photo will be featured on some of our web links, and may very well become our "branding mark" of the future. Submissions will be accepted from now until the end of the month, and are welcome from anyone. If your photo is picked, you will receive a $50 gift certificate of your choice. At the end of October, we will be completely changing our games. Stay posted at the Shew-sical Entertainment Facebook page, or here at our Shew-sical blog. It promises to be an exciting couple of months in our remaining 2011 Shew-sical business year!

Having the music for your event reflect your tastes and personality can be lots of fun. Shew-sical Entertainment can help you do this. Whether it is a birthday, wedding, or corporate event, every host wants their guests to enjoy themselves. Part is this enjoyment is affected by song selection(s). As good as we try to be at "reading a crowd", ultimately you know them best. Having a few songs geared toward certain guests is always a good idea. Allowing guests to request may accomplish this tone as well. Every event is as different as everyone's taste in music. Let us get your guests up and dancing to music that they will forever associate with your event.

Shew-sical Entertainment Services continues to grow in the Frederick, Walkersville, Middletown, Hagerstown, and other markets. We are always getting requests for music from "non music" websites. It always makes me worry a little when part of a client's special requests are not "standard" versions of songs. We try to be as well prepared as possible, and as long as we have a way to connect to the internet all is good. That being said, when something is exclusive to only certain sites or sources.... Well, I think you get the picture. It is fun for us to see the different, unique versions of songs, regardless of the location. Music, and the way it moves people, keeps us in love with our job! Being able to get these "special songs" is also one of the things that helps Shew-sical Entertainment personalize your event, and ultimately keeps our clients coming back for repeat business.

O.K. This is my inaugural blog. I am only posting a fun fact, in the hopes of getting better and more interesting topics. My fun fact is one that Nicole found while "doing some research". Did you know that 2 out of every 5 people marries their 1st love? As I stated before, I will be doing more interesting posts in the future.
